Sony's kopieerbeveiliging op muziek CD's, AKA Sony's Rootkit

Ik wilde eigenlijk hier de ontwikkelingen bij gaan houden omtrent Sony's Rootkit (de zogenaamde kopieerbeveiliging op Sony/BMG's muziek cd's). Maar op Webwereld hebben ze al een dossier aangelegd met de meest opvallende ontwikkelingen:

Voor de mensen die niet weten waar het over gaat: Op een aantal muziek-cd's van Sony/BMG (stuk of 50 tot nu toe, maar natuurlijk wordt dit steeds meer) zit een kopieer beveiliging. Als je de cd in je computer stopt, wordt er stiekum software geïnstalleerd die bedoeld is om de inhoud van de cd te beschermen. Niet iedereen is daar even blij mee, want er is nogal veel niet in de haak met deze software. Toen dat aan het licht kwam, begon het balletje te rollen en is gebleken dat ook de un-installer voor deze software niet spoort, dat de gebruiksovereenkomst ( voor muziek cd's??? ) nergens op slaat, dat er leugens en bedrog naar buiten worden gebracht door Sony en het bedrijf dat de software gemaakt heeft, enz. enz. Alle belangrijke informatie hierover is wel terug te vinden in het dossier wat ik gelinkt heb.

Gorillaz: Feel Good video clip

Ik kijk bijna nooit muziekzenders, dus de meeste video clips gaan aan mij voorbij. Laatst echter zag ik de video clip van "Feel Good" van Gorillaz Ge-wel-dig. Ik vind dit soort clipjes echt te gek, coole cartoon animaties gemengd met obscure 3D animaties en video montage. Niet te vergeten dat het een erg lekker nummer is!
